It's Open Monumenten Dagen: days on which many of the monumental buildings in Delft can be visited for free, including our building.
O.J.V. de Koornbeurs is een open jongerenvereniging en heeft momenteel ruim 300 leden, waarvan meer dan de helft TU Delft-gerelateerd is. De rest van het ledenbestand bestaat uit HBO-studenten, afgestudeerden en andere Delftse jongeren. De vereniging is opgericht in 1912 en gevestigd in rijksmonument de Koornbeurs aan de Voldersgracht. De vereniging is dan ook vernoemd naar dit gebouwd.
Café, music stage, disco, association – the Koornbeurs is for all young people from Delft and the surrounding area. However you feel, wherever you come from or wherever you are going: everyone is welcome at this open youth association.
In addition to being an association, we are also an open brown café that is run completely voluntarily by our members. With two types of lager and various specialty beers on tap and in the fridge, there is always a drink that suits you. Of course, people are welcome here for coffee, tea or soft drinks, too.

De vereniging is doordeweeks open en bereikbaar tussen 10:00 en 20:00.
The cafe
The bar is the center of the association. Here, good ideas are conceived, worked out on a beer mat, forgotten again and then suddenly somehow implemented. Romances start at the bar and are broken just as well when a romance with a good whiskey comes in between. A nice place to spend a large part of the evening.
In our café, not only lager and soft drinks are served. There is also a wide range of specialty beer available. Keep in mind that at the end of the evening you still have to climb a flight of stairs…
Band evenings
The Koornbeurs is known as the meeting place for various music lovers. The atmospheric cellar is transformed every week into an illuminated stage where space is provided for, among other things, starting local bands. From heavy metal to jazz and funk, from punk rock to ska, everything is discussed. There are performances by bands every week, and a Kelderjam and Metalcafé are organized every month!
Andere regelmatige avonden zijn onder andere kelderjam op iedere tweede vrijdag van de maand (neem lekker je eigen instrument mee) en het maandelijkse metalcafé dat hier op volgt voor de headbangers onder ons.

Parties
Van lekker borrelen naar live muziek tot keivette DJ’s: De Koornbeurs heeft het allemaal. Kom op Ondergronds genieten van verschillende stijlen zoals Drum ‘n’ Bass, House en 90s rave, ga helemaal los op technische muziek bij YAP, of zak weg in een zitzak tijdens RUIS: Ambient Noise Lounge.
Misschien wel het grootste feest van allemaal vindt twee keer per jaar plaats: foute hitjes tijdens DIXXO Herman. op 1 januari en Koningsdag.
Would you like to organize a (private) party in the basement yourself?
OJV de Koornbeurs is een vereniging die zich inzet voor welzijn van jongeren en het gemeenschapsgevoel in Delft. Daarnaast zijn wij een onafhankelijk poppodium die zich vooral focust op lokale artiesten. Dit alles volledig op vrijwillegersbasis.
Als dit klinkt als iets wat voor jou belangrijk is, overweeg donateur te worden! Alle donaties gaan rechtstreeks de vereniging in en helpen ons Delft een stukje gezelliger te maken.
Becoming a member
You can become a member of the Koornbeurs throughout the year, whether you are a student or not. As a brand new so-called "kennismaker" you have exactly the same rights as members; you are allowed behind the bar, you can be present when the café is closed to other Delft residents, and you can participate in any committee.
Daarnaast heb je het toegevoegde voordeel dat je lid bent geworden bij de leukste, meest gevarieerde vereniging in Delft. Alternatief, pluizig, feestbeest, introvert, muziekliefhebber, LGBTQ en ga zo maar door: iedereen is welkom!
Tea attic
Naast een kelder voor de bierliefhebbers heeft de Koornbeurs ook een theezolder! Onder de monumentale zolderbalken kun je genieten van 42 verschillende soorten thee. Bovendien kun je daarnaast kiezen uit twee soorten taart.
The audience is quite diverse. Of course there are always Koornbeursers who want to catch up after a hard day of work or study. The tea loft is also particularly suitable for celebrating birthdays or playing games.
Committees
The Koornbeurs is run completely voluntarily by its members, and therefore has a variety of committees.
If you are interested in cooking, serving beer from behind the bar, serving tea, odd jobs, organizing band evenings, giving light shows, organizing parties and so on, then you've come to the right place at the Koornbeurs. The great thing is that you don't even have to join a committee!
